About Porto
Porto is a charming coastal city in northwest Portugal, famous for its historic architecture, vibrant culture, and world-renowned Port wine! You’ll find incredible food here too, from fresh seafood to traditional dishes like francesinha—a delicious, hearty sandwich that’s a must-try. Some must-see spots include the quaint Ribeira district, the impressive Dom Luís I Bridge, and the stunning São Bento Railway Station. It’s the perfect mix of history, fun activities and amazing food.
By the end of May, the weather in Porto is usually pretty pleasant, with warm days around 23-25°C and cooler nights around 12-14°C. There might be a little rain, but fingers crossed, we’ll get plenty of sunshine!

Airport
Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport (OPO) is located about 11 kilometers (7 miles) northwest of Porto’s city center.
Getting from the Airport to the City Center
Metro: The purple line (Line E) of the Porto Metro connects the airport directly to the city center. The journey takes around 25–30 minutes.
Taxi/Uber: Taxis and services Uber are available at the airport. The ride to the city center typically takes around 20 minutes, depending on traffic.
Airport Shuttle: Several shuttle services operate between the airport and key locations or hotels in Porto.
